"And he to me: ' This mountain's of such sort
that climbing it is hardest at the start;
but as we rise, the slope grows less unkind.
Therefore, when this slope seems to you so gentle
that climbing farther up will be as restful
as traveling downstream by boat, you will
be where this pathway ends, and there you can
expect to put your weariness to rest.
I say no more, and this I know as truth.'"
Dante, Purgatorio IV.88-96

Cuesta Park
It was a beautiful day in the Bay today (mid-60s?). Because of Raya's sleep and feeding issues, which require at least one of us to stay at home with her, Sava has really missed the regular family outings to parks that we used to do almost daily before October. Today we finally decided to break the routine, and we spent the second half of the morning at Cuesta Park here in Mountain View. Cuesta is one of our favorite parks, with a large children's playground surrounded by redwood trees, and a long paved path that provides excellent terrain for a stroller with a sleeping baby. While Raya napped and granpda and I walked around the park, Sava and dad spent a lot of time playing with his favorite item in the park--a "digger."
