There's been a white spot on Sava's gum upstairs for several days now and tonight we finally saw It--toofer #3! Mom thought that she it saw during dinner, but he wouldn't let us touch (something to do with our just having tried to spoon feed him, meaning that his mouth, in his own mind, was off limits), so we had to wait until it was time for bath. Then, while daddy was holding him over the sink and mom was trying to wipe his face with cotton balls--he giggling and wiggling the whole time--daddy saw It and then mommy touched It. Yay. We are thrilled. There is hope that some day he will have a mouthful of teeth and will be able to eat real food, so that mom can stop being a milk machine.
Speaking of food, today I saw him put in his mouth a whole elbow macaroni and then heard him swallow it--no chewing or anything. I couldn't believe it. I had been wondering how some days he seems to eat several macaroni in short order, while others he chews them interminably, and it seems that perhaps he does not truly eat them but just swallows them. He still has trouble with chicken, too. Keeps chewing and chewing and often spits it out.
Today was a lovely day. Sava napped a total of three hours, and we went on two nice long walks. In the evening, he even got to play in the sand in our backyard, even though it was cold and we had to go inside before he was done playing. He loves everything on wheels, and the playground is full of trucks and what not. Lots of material there for the warmer days.
