Sava had his GI appointment yesterday, and we are still delirious with joy. He gained another pound in three weeks only! Doc was very impressed and told us to keep doing what we are doing: i.e., mommy milk shakes with everything in them to boost his calories. Put differently, I continue to live at the mercy of the pump. It's not exactly the perfect lifestyle, but it is all worth it when we see the growing poundage.
Once we came home, he also ate ravenously from a chicken-toast-carrot-zucchini dinner, and then had the most momentous poop blowout ever (hardly a surprise, since he had drunk a 7 oz. bottle for lunch and then another 4 oz. on the way to the doctor). He was crawling back and forth between the two of us, when we both smelled the divine fragrance. We'd each noted several times how badly it stank before I noticed that the leg on his pants was entirely soaked in poop. Half of his poop had leaked out of the diaper and almost to his ankle. Ick. It took major creativity to undress him without smearing poop all over him, and I can't say that we were that successful.
He also, as pic illustrates, has a new bib. My favorite so far.
