On Firday morning Miss Raya woke up with another small ulcer on her mouth . . . sadly. This one is right at the corner of her mouth, where her lips meet, which means that every time she laughs, cries, eats, or opens her mouth for whatever reason, the ulcer gets irritated. We've been slathering it with aquaphor the past couple of days, but it still seems to have gotten slightly bigger since we first saw it. Luckily, we have an appointment at UCSF tomorrow, and we are eager to know what the doctors will recommend.
On a more positive note, Raya is well on her way to sitting. This is the sort of developmental milestone that might seem exhilarating only to parents and grandparents, but since we happen to be the parents, we are pretty thrilled. She still wobbles and falls after a couple of minutes, but it won't be long before she is sitting well. Now if only she would stop refluxing each time her tummy folds--
