With at least half a dozen trips to the pool behind us (at least), both the kids are getting used to the cold water and the cold water is getting warmed up by the relentless sun.
This is the first summer when I don't actually have to go in the pool with them. Like: not at all.
Raya can't swim yet, but the arm floaties keep her...well, happy and afloat.
Sava can both swim and float.
Raya can socialize tirelessly,in and out of the pool,
and both can jump with a sense of urgency.
Today, we invited some friends over, and the kids spent TWO entire hours in the pool.
The original motivation was to get Sava together with a friend he made ten days ago during this year's first camping trip. The little girl and he really hit it off, and we wanted to give them an opportunity to cement the friendship.
It worked. While they chatted and sprayed the young crowd with water guns, the said young crowd entertained itself.
Among many other things, they jumped in the pool again and again and again.
Lots more to come. Happy happy summer.
